JAMAAD GOULD: Self-professed sci-fi geek + issues of racial injustice and discord = his new novel, Uncivil Unity

JAMAAD GOULD is a local activist and writer from Salisbury, Maryland. As the ninth child of fourteen in his family, Jamaad found a passion for words and music early in his grade school years. He nurtured that creative spark and followed his passion to college, earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in music technology from Bowie State University in 2014. In just a few months, Jamaad is moving to California where he will attend the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Recently, he completed his first novel titled Uncivil Unity, a narrative that focuses on the Black Lives Matter movement, civil rights, racial and social issues as well as advocacy and unity in increasingly tense times.
