BARBARA LOCKHART is an award winning author who has published three children’s books and two adult fiction novels. She is a native of New York who earned her MFA at Vermont College, and now lives here on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. A least six of her works have been published and several have earned impressive awards. Two of her children’s books were originally published by Tidewater Publishers and her most recent one, Mosey’s Field, was published by Schiffer in 2013. With regard to her adult fiction, her novel Requiem for a Summer Cottage was published by Southern Methodist University Press in 2002 … this novel also earned her one of her awards from the Maryland State Arts Council. More recently, Barbara used Amazon’s Create Space to publish her novel Elizabeth’s Field which went onto win the 2014 Independent Book Publisher’s Silver Medal Award for Regional Fiction.
