ANN FOLEY of Dogwood Ridge Books has lived on Elliott’s Island in the Chesapeake Bay for more than 30 years and undertaken the significant task of preserving the history of the island and others around it. As a freelance writer, Ann has had numerous articles and stories published by such outlets as The Washington Post, Stars and Stripes, Bay Sailor Magazine, and Chesapeake Bay Magazine. Her books include Elliott’s Island: The Land That Time Forgot, Having My Say: Conversations with Chesapeake Bay Waterman Wylie “Gator” Abbott, A Dorchester County Scrapbook, and her newest book - Holland Island: Lost Atlantis of the Chesapeake Bay.
