FRANK HOPKINS is an indie author from the Eastern Shore of Maryland. He picked up his pen in graduate school at the University of Maryland, where he earned his Ph.D in Economics in 1971. He continued along the path of academics when he took a position with then State University of New York in Binghamton (now Binghamton University) where he wrote technical economic research papers and a monograph on the U.S. industrial system. He began writing fiction after retiring and moving to coastal Delaware. He published Unplanned Choices - his first novel - in 2013 and then followed it up with his second novel, in 2014, titled The Opportunity. His most recent work is a collection of short stories titled The First Time
